Echo Valley Episode 18

Bubblegum music gets political in this special episode of Echo Valley. Protest songs from The Archies, the Poppy Family, Burt Ward, and others. Some politically incorrect music, as well (1910 Fruitgum Company and Indian Giver, I'm looking at you). History of the "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing" Coca-Cola jingle (which includes a lawsuit against Oasis). A dramatic reading from a 1960's Secret Agent TV novel. Vintage commercials to make us all a little uncomfortable. And, as always, great bubblegum music from the The 1910 Fruitgum Company, the Batman album, The Cattanooga Cats, Nancy Sinatra, The Partridge Family, The New Seekers, Burt Ward, The Pipkins, The Wombles, Three Dog Night and The Archies.
